UNESCO Special Envoy MBI Al Jaber strengthens cooperation with Mauritania


Mauritania and UNESCO have agreed to strengthen co-operation on education after two days of talks here.

Education and scientific research minister Nagi Ould Mohamed Mahmoud and his colleague in charge of Basic and Secondary education, Cheikh Ahmed Ould Sid`Ahmed, met a UNESCO team led by Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber on the issue.

Both sides agreed to strengthen co-operation and support reform of the educational system with emphasis on scientific disciplines and foreign languages.

They also agreed to set up the necessary infrastructure to support the training and re-training of personnel and the setting up of a joint committee for basic education.
