Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber - The Olive Tree Educational Trust
The Olive Tree Educational Trust aims to develop, through time, a pool of talented young people with a personal commitment to human rights and to the promotion of mutual understanding between Israelis and Palestinians.
As the project develops, the aim is to create a substantial community of people with the social and professional skills needed to work effectively across community boundaries to create a better shared future for Israelis and Palestinians.
They will have the personal qualities to inspire others to recognise the value and dignity of a future that celebrates diversity and respects the rights of all the peoples of the region.
MBI Al Jaber is a founding patron of the Olive Tree Educational Trust.
Upon graduatation, Olive Tree scholars will have:
- a strong academic and professional education to first degree level
- the commitment and skills needed to contribute to the development of human and economic welfare in the region
- appreciation of the interdependence of the communities of the region
