Education for Women
MBI Al Jaber is committed to the advancement of women's education in the Arab world. His belief that peace and stability in the Middle East will begin with education has inspired his support of education for women.
MBI Al Jaber recognizes the important contribution that women have the potential to make within the region and the fact that reform and progress cannot be made without the empowerment through education of both genders within the region.
MBI Al Jaber believes in the importance of education for women in the Arab world as a means of helping the individuals but also in turn, their families, their communities, and ultimately their nations. Investment in Arab women will help them to become successful business and community leaders and will provide new opportunities for them to contribute to the progress and reform of the Arab world.Subsequently, through the MBI Al Jaber Foundation, he has provided scholarships for hundreds of women to study at elite institutions including the American University of Cairo, the American University of Beirut, and universities in the UK and Europe.This has led to his generous support of a number of projects, including a major donation to Dar El Hekmah Private College for Women in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The donation doubled the campus of the College and provided new academic and social facilities for faculty and students. The first tranche of graduates from the College was supported by MBI Al Jaber Foundation scholarships enabling several female students to come to London to earn their Master's Degrees.
MBI Al Jaber will be continuing this support with upcoming projects towards this initiative.
